Contemporary Artist

Misato Kurimune (b. 1988, Japan) is a contemporary artist working from photography as a point of departure, incorporating lenticular structures and AI-based processes.
Her practice explores the relationship between perception and reality, examining how images emerge through the viewer’s gaze and bodily engagement.
By creating images that shift according to perspective, she investigates the act of seeing itself as a process through which images come into being.
