Flashback – Motion Works: Edition Release

We are pleased to present Flashback – Motion Works in its completed edition format.

The series extends into time the image transformations derived from a single photograph documenting the scene of one particular day. Flashback #20250318 – Motion A B C, created in 2025, was presented that same year in the international group exhibition RITUALS in Rome, Italy.

Since then, the format of the work has been further developed through consideration of how a moving-image work may be preserved, exhibited, and collected. Each edition is now presented as a two-box set comprising the moving image, two chromogenic print components corresponding to its opening and closing images, archival documentation, preservation media, and related materials.

The two chromogenic prints corresponding to the opening and closing images are produced on photographic paper with a mirror-like high-gloss surface, giving physical form to images that unfold through time.
