Flashback

Flashback is a series that visualizes the light and memory of a single day, and the process of their reconstruction.
A photograph taken in backlight undergoes unexpected transformation during exposure adjustment, revealing a solarization-like effect. This transition, recorded in ten gradual stages, becomes both a document and a reconfigured memory—where light erodes the image, and time begins to drift.

From this visual trajectory, AI-generated motion was introduced, evolving the static image into a 30-second sequence. Through algorithmic interpretation, the work gains a texture that gently floats through the depths of memory.

Memory and record, vision and perception, phenomenon and computation.
Where photography meets video, and manual meets AI, Flashback questions the ambiguity of memory and the process by which beauty is constructed.
