Flashback

Flashback is a series that explores the light and memory of a particular day, and the process through which they are reconstructed.

A single photograph taken against the light is transformed through ten stages of exposure adjustment, shifting into different states as if light were eroding the image.

What appears is not merely a photographic record, but an image that resembles memory altered over time.

In this series, the sudden return of past memory is not treated as a shocking re-experience, but as a phenomenon in which light and sensation rise again within present perception.
