Crushed

This is a series of photographs of broken still lifes, reconstructed to bear their intended forms.

After printing on cloth or paper, I apply silver leaf or gold to fill the cracks made by chance.

Silver leaf and Gold was fundamentally invented and historically used in multiple cultures throughout multiple centuries for decorative and restoration purposes.  In doing so, I try to embody the substantial quest for beauty and style as well as limited life and nobility of any existing, man-made objects that are not eternal.
